A Week of Events

This has been a very interesting week. First Ann Catherine broke her arm on Sunday and then it snowed on Wednesday. Ann Catherine was walking down some stairs at church on Sunday night and missed a stair and fell, breaking her arm. Amanda and I thought that she sprang it, so we weren't too concerned. Then as the swelling went down, we noticed that it did not look right. We took her to the ER and found out that she broke it. She is now in a nice pink cast. She loves it and has tons of signatures on it. Then on Wednesday it snowed at the house. Take a look, see it does snow some in Tennessee.

Wow! She got a lot of signatures. That's a very pink cast! I'm glad she's at least enjoying the attention.

Nice snow! Oh wait, I hate snow.

What a beautiful cast, with tons of signatures! All the way up over her elbow, though?

Did you run to the store and buy milk and bread yet???

We tried - but all the bread and milk were already gone!! So, we had to survive on water. :-)

Yes, they had to put it up all the way her elbow. Because of where it's broken, they had to keep her from twisting her arm in any way. If she twisted her forearm in any way (which is normal when you reach for something or move your arm around), it could make the break worse. So, they had to keep it immobile.

I can't wait to get there and sign her cast! The snow looks beautiful. Did you enjoy it? More importantly, did you make a snowman? Or snowwoman? Or, as my brother Dick and his friend did, did you make a snowmermaid?
